Here's how to enter the Best Room in Kansas City contest:

Step 1: Snap a maximum of one photo of any room in your home (no restaurants, shops or model homes). These days, a room can mean an outdoor room. So tricked-out patios, screened porches and rooftop decks are definitely included. So are closets, laundry rooms and home theaters. You can enter as many rooms in your home as you want, but only one photo of each, please. Rooms can be in Kansas City or other parts of the metro area. Swanky master baths with an ocean view are definitely not eligible.

Step 2. Register: Click the entry button above. Once on the registration page, fill out the form if you've never submitted photos to us before. If you have, you can skip this step.

Step 3. Log in (you must already be registered). To do this, click on the 'Login' button at the top of the page. Then enter your username and password and press the 'Login' button.

Step 4. Submit a photo. At the top of the page you'll see the words 'submit a photo' in red. Click on the wording. You'll get a box with a button to upload your photo(s). Remember, in the description field, to write a few sentences about why you have the coolest room in Kansas City.

Step 5. Wait to see your photo! The Star must approve your photos before they are posted which may take up to 24 hours.
